Today, South Florida Sun-Sentinel columnist Steve Bousquet visited our untamed wild Tamarac.
The article describes the running of the gauntlet that TAMARACANS early voters go through prior to reaching the safety of the voting booth. Tamarac District-1 Commissioner seat is highly contested in this 2024 municipal election. We TAMARACANS, residents of District-1 and after 8 years of the self-serving corrupt current commissioner Bully Marlon Bolton had enough. We desperately must elect a new Commissioner for the sake of the entire city of Tamarac not just for District-1.

When the city of Tamarac Distrct-1 needed its commissioner the most, he bolted away!!!
Bully Marlon Bolton is gone (Bolted away, gone, left the meeting, nowhere to be seen)!!!
- Bully Marlon Bolton was clearly tuned out during the discussion of agenda line item 6.f TO2573, Amending Chapter 16, “Pensions and Retirement”. He can be seen clearly (above the Dais counter) typing away on his cell phone.
- During agenda line item 6.g TO2575, the mayor, Michelle Gomez stepped away from her seat (walked in the direction of the Attorney, Hans Ottinot (represent in the meeting by his law business partner Pamala Ryan) and City Manager Levent Sucuoglu for a very brief period), (now Dais is out of camera view). When the mayor got back (now the Dais is on camera view), Bully Bolton is gone (Bolted away, gone, nowhere to be seen)!!!!

He bolted away at the time when Distrct-1 needed him the most!!!

This evening at Tamarac Moose Lodge, located at 6191 Rock Island Road in Tamarac, Florida, Viola Watson launched her Campaign for Tamarac District 1 Commissioner.
Residents from Tamarac and guests from surrounding communities attended the Campaign Launch Party. The Campaign launch event had a festive and exciting atmosphere. In a crowded Ballroom attendees discussed the upcoming Tamarac District 1 Commissioner Election, had snacks and listened to Viola Watson Campaign Announcement Speech. Candidates’ leadership, respect and integrity were the focus among the attendees.

In today’s City of Tamarac Commissioners’ Meeting, Bully Marlon Bolton went over the deep end. When you think it couldn’t get any worse, oh yes, it did! As usual, he cannot help himself, when he cannot face reality, he falls back on intimidation and bullying. In the meeting today, he intimidated a Tamarac resident and business owner by making rude, disgusting and repugnant hand gesture about her. The lady is well spoken, athletic and physically fit, I just do not understand what Bully Bolton’s problems are. Tamarac’s voters including this lady will deliver the final answer to Bully Bolton at the ballot box. We in Tamarac had enough of this Bully. Tuesday, November 5, 2024, is only 131 days away. District 1 can do better, we must vote him out. Tamarac can do better, Bully Bolton, Must GO!!!

Broward County Supervisor of elections Joe Scott gave an excellent presentation and answered many questions related to the upcoming elections at all levels.
A table was set up at the meeting where Voter Registration and Vote by Mail forms were available. Also, assistance with online Voter Registration and Vote by Mail tasks were available via a live connection with Broward County Supervisor of elections system.
Tamarac Mayor Michelle Gomez and District 2 Commissioner and current Vice Mayor Morey Wright were at the meeting.
WARNING: The election ballot will be long, there will be Many Amendments and Candidates on the ballot to consider, and all are important. Take your time, educate yourself and vote wisely.
Tamarac Commissioners do not report to anyone, yup, they do not report to anyone! They are basically gods (small g), oh, one is god (small g) and profit! The only way we can hold them accountable is by casting our votes. Our votes honor them with the privilege to serve our community and not to bully our community.
